Back to Intermittent Fasting

I’ve been thinking about it for a while. I think it’s time I went back to some Intermittent Fasting.

I fell off the Intermittent Fasting wagon a few months ago. Actually, it’s closer to eight months or more.

Maybe “fell off” is the wrong description. I had wanted to try something else.

The problem is that I’m not good with some kinds of control. Especially around food.

Except for when I’m doing Intermittent Fasting or Time Restricted Eating.

This week, I went back to my old schedule of having my first meal after 5pm. And stopping eating by 9pm. Or at least trying to.

For some reason, I find it easier to avoid snacking when I’m in Intermittent Fasting mode.

Last week, I was at Costco. I was sampling things left, right, and centre. I didn’t need to buy lunch. But I did.

Today, I was at Costco again. Same temptations.

I didn’t try anything. I was fasting.

It’s like something turns off in my brain. The temptations are still there, but my mindset has shifted.

Maybe I needed a break from Intermittent Fasting? We’ll see what the next couple of weeks are like.
