Two Shows Converge

Rehearsal of Burn

This happened last Fall. I was in a play and my choir had a concert. At the same time.

Fortunately, I was able to perform in all the play and choir dates.

And it’s happening again.

I’m in another play. Burn at the Player’s Guild. We open on May 31.

And my choir has their end of the season concerts on May 31 and June 1.

I won’t be able to be at the concert on May 31. But I might be able to sing in the concert the next day before my evening performance of Burn.

Burn is my main focus. I’m one of four actors.

Singing with the choir

And our choir (Vocal Point) has almost fifty voices.

My absence from the choir is much less noticeable than if I was absent from the play.

I wish I could do both.

Both shows involve a lot of memorization. And there’s not a lot of time to get all that stuff in my memory banks.

We’ll see what happens.

But I will be promoting both shows. So, apologies ahead of time for the impending onslaught of sales pitches.
