When I told Deb that I only wanted about an inch or so left for my next hair cut, she laughed. You only have an inch or so right now, she told me.
I guess I’m not a good judge of hair length.
So, she cut my hair down to half an inch. Or so.
I wanted short hair, but not baldness. Not yet.
I like the idea of the short hair.
No fuss. No muss.
I read an interview with Elizabeth Gilbert. She cut her hair very short and found it life changing.
It radically freed up time and mental space. And there’s an economic factor, too.
You don’t have to go to a hair stylist if you’re buzzing your hair every couple of weeks.
Of course, my hair stylist is very reasonable. I just have to feed her.
I like having hair. While I still have some.
But I love not having to worry about combing it. Or making sure that my bed head isn’t out of control.
