May 2024 Mile Marker

May was a better month for staying on track for weight loss. I managed to get my average weight down to 205.8lbs. That’s down 3.1lbs from April.

My heaviest was 209.6lbs and lightest was 201.2lbs.

It’s a combination of things. Intermittent Fasting. Getting to bed early. Not watching as much late-night TV. And getting in some exercise.

I wish it was one thing. It would be much easier that way.

We’re always looking for the Easy Button.

Or at least I am always looking for the Easy Button.

Some things have a slightly stronger effect.

Getting to bed earlier, for example. It prevents me from watching too much TV. And prevents me from snacking late at night. It helps me regulate my circadian rhythm.

But going to bed earlier isn’t enough.

Watching when I eat is important. And watching what I eat is important.

And that darn exercise! I’m happy when I’ve done it. But man, getting myself to do it is a challenge.

I lean towards running as go to exercise. But I should be doing some weight bearing exercises as well.

June will be challenging because I’m doing the play. And when I get home from a performance, I’m usually too wired to go to bed.

Danger Will Robinson! TV watching is likely. Late night TV watching.

But the show ends mid-month. So, if I get off track in the first half of the month… Hopefully, I can course correct in the second half.

And I will try to get in some weight bearing exercises besides the running.
