The quest to reach my Marathon Weight of 180lbs continues. As expected, my weight went up last month. But it didn’t go up as much as I thought it would.
My average weight for December was 184.6lbs. That was up 1.1 lbs from November. My lowest weight during the month was 181.2 lbs and my highest weight was 191.6lbs.
I was impressed with myself. It was the holiday season and I ate well. Very well.
And I drank well. Very well.
I donated blood in mid-December, so I didn’t fast for a couple of days leading up to and after giving blood. And I didn’t fast much during the last ten days of December.
I managed to do the two extended fasts that I planned on doing. One on Dec. 6 (46 hours) and the other on Dec. 19 (45 hours).
It was easier than usual for me to do them because I had made the commitment to do them in my November Mile Marker post.
Nothing like a little social pressure to encourage follow through.
So now that the holidays are done, it’s back to business. Time to move the needle closer to my Marathon Weight.
One of the things I love about Intermittent Fasting is that you can indulge for celebrations. And then get back on track after the holidays.
In January, I plan to do a couple of 24-36 hour fasts. One in the week of January 3 and another one the week of January 17.
Slow and steady wins the race.
Happy New Year!
