Ah, averages. My monthly weight for December benefited from averaging. Because my weight gain was at the end of the month. Ah, the holidays…
So, the average didn’t reflect my actual weight at the end of the month.
But poor January. Even though my average weight went down each week, it was starting from a higher weight than usual.
Which is a long-winded way of saying that my average weight is up again this month.
Average weight was 200.4lbs. Up three pounds from December’s average. Highest weight was 205lbs (January 2). Lowest weight was 195.8lbs.
There is a silver lining, though.
My average weight for January 2024 was 209.2lbs. So, I weighed almost 9 pounds less this year than at the same time last year. Not bad at all.
Intermittent fasting remains my main tool of choice.
Getting enough sleep and avoiding late night snacking are important, too.
That darn late-night snacking…
I have good weeks and I have bad weeks.
I find being in a play helpful, because it can force me to reduce the amount of late-night TV that I watch.
I’m still poor at resisting late night temptations. Tortilla chips and salsa release their siren call…
Avoiding the temptation seems to be the best solution. So, by not staying up late watching TV (too often), I can side-step that pitfall.
Let’s see if February can be the month that shows I’m back on track.
