I weigh myself every morning when I get up.
Then I weigh myself again after I go to the bathroom.
And I usually weigh myself at the end of the day.
If I’m fasting, I’ll even weigh myself before bed.
But when I mark down my weight for the “day”, I use the lowest weight.
Is that cheating?
I figure it all evens out in the end.
But it makes me feel better in the moment.
We’re usually not talking about a lot of weight.
Although, I can fluctuate a few pounds during the day.
Especially if I go for a long run.
Some days I can lose up to five pounds. Or gain up to five pounds…
Now you know my dirty secret!
I use my lowest weight of the day for tracking my weight-loss progress.
If I was more scientific, I would weigh myself at the same time each day.
And use that as the weight.
However, using my lowest weight makes me happier.
And the happier I am, the more likely I’m going to stick with it.
So, if it’s cheating so be it.
In the end, I’m still losing weight.
