My last post about my weight-loss journey was about doing the WildFit challenge. Following the program helped the pounds fall off. Within 3 months, I lost over 10 lbs.
And I was eating more food. I wasn’t fasting.
But, of course, once I stopped following the WildFit way, the pounds came back.
It’s not that it was hard to do WildFit.
It’s that it’s easier NOT to do it.
Dairy products, gluten, grains. It’s easier to cook with them.
By January, my weight had crept back up to my pre-WildFit weight. And a bit more.
But here’s the thing. Even though my weight went back up, my average weight for 2025 was 197.4lbs.
My average for 2024 was 203.2lbs. So, WildFit had an impact on my weight for the whole year.
In January, I was back up to 203.4lbs.
That’s okay.
The holidays are a hard time to be “good” about food. And we’ve got to have some treats! Celebrations and holidays are important.
I always gain weight in December and January. It’s a fact.
But January is over and it’s time to get back on track. I will start small.
Slow and steady is usually the best way for me to get things done.
So, I’ll be eating a couple of WildFit meals a week to get back on track.
And if I can’t be consistent, I’ll try the WildFit Challenge again.
It is easier to maintain a habit once you’ve started it. Rather than going through the effort get started from zero. We were told that during the challenge.
I didn’t listen.
I’m still trying to get to my marathon weight. And now with two grandchildren here, I want to be around for a long time. I want to be healthy enough to enjoy that time.
Will this be the year I get to my marathon weight?
