I like to write about the things I want to do. Because I want to take advantage of the Hawthorne Effect.
That’s when you change your behaviour because someone is watching you.
Not that you are watching me exactly.
But sort of…
A week ago, I posted about my plans for April.
And I broke the month goal into weekly goals.
For the first week of April, I wanted to:
- Get weight down to 199lbs.
- Write 5 pages of script.
Did I succeed?
Not exactly.
My average weight for the week was 200.1lbs. So, I missed that target.
I wrote 5 pages of script. Yay.
One out of two isn’t bad.
It’s not great.
But it’s better than missing both targets.
And now that I know I’m going to give an update next week, I’ll be more focused.
The Hawthorne Effect. Right?
I’ll be reporting on it. So, you’ll find out about it.
Will it be enough to keep me on target?
