Way back in August, I applied for the Montreal Fringe. I was hoping to get one of their early bird slots. But I was not successful.
It’s been a long wait but finally the big day is here.
Tonight, the Montreal Fringe will have their official draw, and I’ll find out if we got in through the lottery.
If we don’t get in today, then it will depend on where we land on the waiting list.
Last year, we didn’t get in, but we were first on the waiting list. Unfortunately, we decided to get involved in other shows, so when an opening came up, we couldn’t take it.
We’re hoping that this year is the one.
We’ll be dusting off my play The Lost Years. It will be fun to revisit it and to perform it for family and friends in Montreal. And make some new friends, too.
I have a performance today, so I won’t fret too much about the lottery. I’ll be busy.
If we get in, we get in.
If we don’t, we don’t.
That much is out of my control.
But what will be in my control is to decide what to do next if we’re not doing the Montreal Fringe this summer.
And I will think of something…
