Last month I spoke about a mini vacation Deb and I took.
This Sunday was another one.
I had lots of work to do. Plenty of things on the “list”.
But Deb had been gone all week and arrived home late Saturday evening.
So, we decided to have a mini vacation day.
No laundry. No dishes. No work.
Instead, we went for brunch at Caro’s. We’ve been there before, but only for dinner.
It was delicious. Deb had a Chicken Waffle and I had a Short Rib Benny.
Yum.
Then we had a nice drive in the countryside. Aimlessly driving to bask in the nature nearby.
Lovely.
Our friends, Peter and Kim, invited us over for a swim and a BBQ. So, we picked up some beer and some yummy donuts from Café Baffico.
It was a fantastic afternoon and evening. Chatting. Drinking. Lounging in the Pool. And eating.
Peter and Kim are great hosts, and the time flew by.
When we got home, we were beat. But exhausted in a good way.
It was only one day of relaxation, but it was excellent for the soul.
If only every weekend could be like that….
