Sleep It Off

The month is half over. And if things continue to go the way they are heading, it should be a good month.

Weight-wise, that is.

I’m doing what I was doing last month. Intermittent Fasting until 5pm on weekdays. And eating normally on weekends.

And I’m trying to get to bed on time.

There’s never just one thing or one magic pill to get you where you want to go.

But I overlooked the impact of sleep for a long time.

Last week, even though I was fasting the same amount, my weight went up a bit.

I had stayed up late a few nights in a row. And it started affecting my weight loss.

I made the connection to lack of sleep. And got back on track.

It’s hard sometimes. Because I’m a night owl. I like staying up late.

But I tend to watch too much TV.

And then I’m not productive the next day. My schedule gets thrown off.

And the dominoes start to fall.

I’ve been better with sleep this week. And things are back on track.

Getting enough sleep is one component of weight loss. And it’s an important one.
