Birthday Wishes from Afar

This is the second year in a row that Deb has been out of town on her birthday.

Happy birthday, my dear.

The other day, I was in her office and saw this photo from when she was directing A Christmas Carol.  I love this picture!  (I’m sorry but I forgot who took it)

It makes me think of her casting a spell.  To weave her actors into a well performing cast.  She weaves together people all around her.

She’s the glue for the people she cares for.

I’m still smitten, I guess. Even after 39 years of knowing her. And almost 37 years of marriage.

But even though she isn’t home with me, she got to celebrate with Caileigh and Chris and our friends Pat and Alex.

I’m feeling the feels and missing my Deb.

She’ll be back home in a few days. I can give her a birthday hug and kiss then.

Maybe I better get started on tidying the house. It’s amazing how quickly it falls into disorder when she’s not around.
