I was journaling this morning and asked myself what I should be doing. Below is the advice I gave myself. It’s advice I’ve given myself before. And even given to others. But I thought I’d share it any way.
Of course, this advice doesn’t only pertain to writing.
Keep writing. Do the work.
Stop worrying about the outcome. You have no control on the outcome. What does it matter if it’s a success or not?
Your job is to do the work. To open yourself to the Universe and to let the inspiration come in. You are a channel. If it is meant to be successful, it will be. But it won’t be because of You. That is out of your control.
It will be successful because you listened and did the work.
Be consistent. You don’t have to strain.
It’s supposed to be work. You’re supposed to put in some effort. But it is happy work. Even pleasant.
Show up. Be productive. But also have fun.
