When did we become so polarized with our opinions?
And why can’t we discuss our differences without getting angry?
I’m guilty of getting worked up about some things.
But I draw the line at vandalism and violence.
That’s crazy!
If you disagree with Musk, don’t deface someone else’s Tesla.
If you disagree with a someone from another political party, don’t tear down their signs.
There are productive things you can do instead of destructive ones.
The problem is that we get so worked up and convinced that the “other guy” is wrong.
And they get just as worked up and convinced that we’re wrong.
Where does it end?
It’s exhausting.
The problem is that it’s the hackers and trolls out there manipulating us.
We see things designed to rile us up.
And they see things designed to rile them up.
Each of us thinks the other must be stupid to believe what we believe.
There are more things that unite us than divide us.
But some people thrive on dividing us.
And so, it goes.
Can’t we get to a solution through building something and caring for each other?
