One of the things I love about theatre is how egalitarian it is.
Especially with the actors.
It doesn’t matter how old or young you are.
We’re all equals working together to put on the show.
We’re all peers.
There are very few situations where people can work side by side. People with different levels of experience.
And yet, each of you helps the production succeed.
Sometimes there are egos.
But most of the time there are not.
People work together.
People help each other.
In this current show, Things I Know to be True, we’ve got a good representation of the Generations:
Boomers. Gen X. Millennials. Gen Z.
And we all play nice.
Everyone wants to put on a good show.
We have a common goal.
If only we could bring some of that solidarity and understanding into other areas of life…
