Last week, I made a list of some of the books I want to read this year.
And right away, I started listening to book that wasn’t on the list.
Great by Choice by Jim Collins and Morten T. Hansen.
I first listened to this book in 2011. And I’ve listened to it a few times since then.
I made a more detailed description of the book here.
Last week, I decided it was time for a refresher.
Jim Collins reads his book. He’s a great reader.
He manages to keep the listener engaged.
I’m sure the book is a good read. But I find it to be a great listen!
It’s wonderful to come back to a book that you’ve read before.
Because you’re a different person than you were the previous time you read it.
Some things will resonate more than the first time.
Or they will reinforce ideas that have weakened over time.
The book analyzes extremely successful companies. And comes up with strategies based on the behaviours of those companies.
Strategies that anyone can use to be more successful in any endeavour.
Maybe even “great”. If you stick to it long enough.
