Saturday morning we got up and had our morning coffees.
Caileigh and Chris are serious coffee folks. They weigh the coffee grounds instead of using measured spoonfuls.
The result was an excellent pot of brew!
Tara and Dan arrived a little later and the core group was complete. Yay!!
The plan was to hang out for a bit. Maybe fit in some skating and then have dinner.
Deb’s brother Don and her father came up from Montreal for a day visit.
And then Deb’s bestie Pat came by to drop off some chairs for tomorrow.
Caileigh had invited some guests for Sunday. Our niece Bethany and her husband, Issac, along with their daughter Ada. Pat and Alex would be there too, which is why Pat was dropping off the extra chairs.
There was some uncertainty about whether people would be able to make it tomorrow. Because another snow storm was expected in Ottawa on the Sunday.
While the older generation were chatting, the younger generation went out.
Chris went to the gym for a workout. Caileigh, Keaton, Kate, Tara, and Dan went for a skate on the Rideau Canal.
When everyone was back, we helped assemble Dan Dan Noodles. Which were darn, darn good!
Don had brought some desserts from the Azores which we sampled.
And we even tried our hand at doing one of those internet challenges. Singing part of The Magic Flute.

Silliness ensued. Much fun was had.
