I only run about three times a week. But the distance adds up.
I’m taking my new running shoes out for their inaugural run.
You can see the pristine soles of the new shoes.
I bought my old sneakers in January.
They are a little past due retirement.
I’ve racked up 677.6 kilometers (421 miles) on them.
Look at the wear on the old ones.
Having to replace my sneakers within a calendar year feels good.
It means that I’ve been running consistently.
I want to keep it up.
It keeps me healthy.
And I like the meditative aspect of running.
When I’m doing a long run, it’s nice to be alone with my thoughts for a couple of hours.
It’s not for everyone.
But that’s okay.
Time to hit the road…
