No Footing

It’s Friday night and for the first time in a few weeks, I don’t have to get ready for a performance.

I don’t have to review my lines.

I don’t have to make the trip to Grimsby to get ready for The Game’s Afoot.

I also don’t have time to really miss those things, either!

My choir’s holiday concert is next weekend. And I’m trying to learn all those songs that I put off learning.

So, I’m still scrambling and busy.

I’ll have time to feel the absence of my shows next Sunday.

Then things will be over.

Until the next thing starts up.

But I’ll have a few weeks of freedom soon.

What will I do with myself?
