Now after weeks of preparation, the actual performance is around the corner.
The Game’s Afoot opens on Friday. And we have started Tech Week.
That means we’re rehearsing with our costumes.
And the lighting cues.
And sound cues.
It’s like doing the show, but without the audience.
The clock is ticking.
There’s still a couple of parts that need tweaking.
There’s a spot or two. (Or three.) Where I don’t quite have my lines down.
It will be fine.
Tech Week is also a long haul.
Usually, you’re in the theatre every night until you open. And then you’ve got performances on the weekend.
So, it feels like a lot.
But it’s part of the game.
Part of the fun.
And we’re so close to getting to play in front of a real audience.
I can hardly wait!
