When I check out someone’s blog, I’ll often go to their About Me page.

I’m always curious to know a bit more about the author.

Looking the stats for my site, I saw that my About me page gets viewed more than most other pages.

It makes sense.

You read a post and wonder “Who is this person? Let me find out more…”

But then I realized, I haven’t updated my About page in fourteen years!

It still says:

My name is Peter Gruner and I am an emerging playwright.  I kind of hate that term because I feel a little long in the tooth to be called “emerging”, but it is an adequate description of my status as a playwright.  I am moving beyond the “dabbler” stage and focusing on the professional aspect.  Since I’ve already received payment for my writing, I gleefully call myself a professional; but I am still striving to achieve a professional production of one of my plays.  So, I soldier on…

Until now.

Time for a refresh.  It will now read:

Welcome to my blog!  My name is Peter Gruner.  I’m a student of life.  A husband.  A father.  A writer. A playwright. An actor.

A life-long learner!

I’m interested in Self Development. Creativity. Theatre.  Writing.  Weight Loss. Productivity.  And many other things that grab my attention.

Sometimes, I feel like Sisyphus.  But instead of pushing a rock up a hill and watching it roll down at the end of the day.  I go over the same things.  Learn and relearn.

I like to share what I find.  You never know when someone will stumble over a post that will help them when they need it.

Often, I’ll just ramble. 

And though it might seem like it’s just for me, it’s also a way to have a conversation with you.

We don’t have to speak directly to each other. But in a way, we’re sharing with each other.
