Well, I’ve started wearing them anyway. And they’re not sunglasses exactly.
They’re blue light blocking glasses.
For years, I’ve read the suggestion that we should wear blue light blocking glasses at night.
I even installed the flux app on my previous computer. It activates in the evening. And switches your desktop to an amber glow that blocks out the blue light.
But I didn’t find it as helpful since I’m usually watching TV in the evening. Or scrolling on my phone.
I recently read another article about blocking out the blue light before you go to bed. And even suggested wearing blue light blocking glasses in bed. If you’re going to be using your phone.
I figured what the heck? I may as well try it.
I’ve been wearing them for about a week now.
I think they are helping.
One of the big things I notice is that I don’t scroll or read or play on my phone for as long now. Often, I’d get a second wind while using my phone. And stay up much later than I intended.
Was it the blue light causing it? I guess so.
Of course, maybe it’s a placebo effect.
The bottom line is that I’m going to sleep sooner now that I’m wearing these glasses.
And that’s a good thing.
