It Felt Good!

Vocal Point Choir’s season is finished. We had a our Feelin’ Good spring concerts on May 31 and June 1.

I couldn’t be at the May 31 concert, but I was there for the June 1 one.

What an awesome feeling it is to sing with the choir!

I love it.

There’s something about the energy and the sound and the audience. And the band.

Wow.

I was more nervous about singing with the choir than I was for the Opening Night of Burn.

Even though I’m a single voice and I was able to have my music. It was a little nerve-wracking to sing with everyone. After being away for so many weeks.

But the music is so beautiful. The soloists were awesome. The band that accompanied us was fantastic.

It was a wonderful experience.

I even got a bit emotional during one of the songs. Both Sides Now. As we were singing, the lyrics just hit me. So, I had to mouth the words. I couldn’t get a sound out.

I was verklempt!

As soon as the concert was over, I had to beat it to get ready for my call for Burn. So, there wasn’t much time to bask in the after glow with my fellow choristers.

But we have our closing party in a couple of weeks, and we can rehash the joy of the concert then.

I’m already looking forward to next season!
