Dress Rehearsal is over. There were four or five folks in the audience.
Enough to feel a little pressure. But they were folks involved in the show.
There wasn’t enough of an audience to feel the energy.
To feel the magic.
To have that extra thing that turns a play into a show.
That will be tomorrow.
When we open.
I think we’re ready.
I know we’re ready.
I’m not nervous about it.
I’m excited.
And curious.
An audience often surprises you with what they react to.
Some things, we expect a response.
But often an audience discovers something that you didn’t know was there.
The starting and stopping of the action is done. The examining of moments is finished.
No more rehearsals…
Tomorrow is Opening Night.
There will be people in the audience. Folks that have paid good money to come see a show.
We’ve got a great crew supporting us.
And the four of us actors will act as best as we can!
Bring it on!
