I’ve written over 130 blog posts this year. And the year isn’t half over yet.
Last year, I wrote 15 posts.
I’m still writing. But it’s not getting any easier.
That’s not exactly true.
The posts are difficult to write in the evening. Which is when I usually write them.
If I get them written earlier in the day, it’s much easier.
The hard part about writing in the evening is that I second guess my topic.
I over think it.
Which is silly.
Because the purpose of this exercise is quantity. Not quality.
It sounds counterproductive. But it’s true.
My average posting last year was once a month.
It’s difficult to improve on any skill if you’re only doing it once a month.
But when you’re doing the work every day or almost every day, it’s hard not get a little better.
And even if you’re not getting better, the sheer volume of effort is likely to produce something good occasionally.
So, I’m going to keep on chugging for now.
