WODL Win!

The anticipation is over. The results are in.

Theatre Burlington didn’t win everything that they were nominated for. Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf had ten award nominations.

They came away with four awards.

Deb won Outstanding Direction by First Time Director.

Kelly won Outstanding Performance in a Major Role.

The show won Outstanding Ensemble Work.

And they snagged the top prize: Best Production.

Deb is happiest about the outstanding ensemble award. It acknowledges the stellar performances by all four actors.

Who’s Afraid of Viriginia Woolf was a masterclass in acting. Each actor was engaged throughout the whole show.

Their work deserves the recognition.

I’m happiest that Deb got the award for first time director.

I’m biased. Obviously.

Yes, Deb was blessed to have great actors and a fantastic crew. But I’ve seen shows where that gets squandered because the director isn’t up to the task.

Deb was up to the task. She knocked it out of the park.

Everyone involved in the production knocked it out of the park.
