One of the things I love the most about my wife, Deb, is her maternal instincts.
She has always had them.
It was the epiphany that she would be a great mother some day, that made me see her in a new light almost forty years ago. One of her qualities that made me love her when we were just friends.
I didn’t think that she’d be a great mother for my kids. I just thought that she’d be a great mother.
And her kids would be so lucky to have her as a mom.
I don’t always predict the future correctly. But I was bang on with that prediction.
We have three awesome kids. Caileigh, Keaton, and Tara.
And yes, they came into the world with their own natural awesome-ness. But Deb nurtured those guzzards into the wonderful people they are.
They are folks I’d love to have in my life if I wasn’t related to them. Kind, generous, loving.
Like their mother.
Yes, I helped raise them. But make no mistake. Deb did the heaviest lifting.
And she continues to shower her maternal love on our guzzards.
She is a drop of love, rippling out into the world. And our kids echo that love into the world, as well.
Happy Mother’s Day, Deb! ❤

I’m not crying! You’re crying 🥹
So beautiful …
Thank you.
