Fellowship

Last night after choir, some of us went out to a restaurant to hang out.

Most of the time, we scurry off to our respective homes after choir rehearsal.

So, it was a treat to be able chat and get to know each other a little more.

We don’t do it often enough.

Being in a choir is like being in a play. It’s a group effort to work towards putting on a show.

But theatre seems to offer more opportunities to interact with each other.

In a play, you aren’t always on stage. There are more quiet moments.

In a choir, most of the time you are all together. And even when only one section is being worked on, the rest of us need to be quiet.

And there’s something about interacting with folks in person that is just special.

I appreciate the gift of being able to spend time with folks in real life. Especially after the last few years of Zoom meetings.

More please!
