What are you putting off?

As part of my preparation for starting my new acting project, I’m rereading Do the Work. And a sentence popped out at me.

I’ve read it a bunch of times previously. But it’s lingering with me today:

A child has no trouble believing the unbelievable, nor does the genius or the madman. It’s only you and I, with our big brains and our tiny hearts, who doubt and overthink and hesitate.

Steven Pressfield

As I finish my third week of this daily posting, it’s my lack of thinking that keeps me going.

I can’t overthink what I’m going to write. I just have to write something and put it out there.

But I was thinking today, how this week has been easier to do this daily practice than last week. And hopefully next week will be easier still.

Don’t overthink.

Don’t think.

Act.

Do.

What have you been putting off? Set a timer for five minutes and go start it.
