It’s all about the Bass

In our choir, we have lots of sopranos and altos. And up until this session, we had a good number of tenors.

But we’ve always had a scant amount of basses.

Usually three. And one of them is me.

So, it’s more like two and a half.

At the beginning of each session, we’d gain a bass or two. And lose a bass or two.

People move on. And others join in.

We had five basses at the beginning of this session.

But two guys dropped out. (We miss you Derek and Raymond.)

Back down to three basses again.

Sean and Matt joined the group this session.

The new guys.

They both added a love of music and a sense of fun.

It was contagious.

They both have experience singing in choirs.

They know their stuff.

And they enjoy singing.

Their energy invigorates me.

It’s fun to sing in the choir. To be part of the big group

But it was also fun just hanging out with the Bass Boys.

I’m already looking forward to next session!
