Gearing up for Fringe 2017

The 2107 Hamilton Fringe starts in less than two weeks!  From July 20 to July 29, we will perform my play The Lost Years at the Artword Artbar in Hamilton.  I’m excited and I’m freaking out.

I’m excited to have a new play to show an audience.  My last play was three years ago.  Also, I’ll be performing with my wife, Deb; which I’m looking forward to.  We haven’t played on stage together since we met thirty years ago!

We’re both struggling to learn our lines, of course.  The show is a two hander, so it puts a lot of pressure on both performers.  And we need to do some sort of publicity.  Time is going by so quickly!!!

Months ago, I had the aspiration to blog about the process of getting the show ready for Fringe.  And now Fringe is upon us and I haven’t written anything about the process yet.  Gulp.

And those darn lines need to get learned.  You’d think it would be easier to learn lines that you’ve written, but I find it is just as challenging as learning lines someone else has written.

But postcards have been ordered and I’ve started doing some Facebook posts and Twitter tweets, so we’ll see how it all goes.
